Good to know
- Business permits must be renewed from January 1 to 20 every year; penalties apply after that unless the Sangguniang Panlungsod authorizes an extension.
- Business tax may be paid annually, semi-annually or quarterly. Quarterly deadlines: January 20, April 20, July 20 and October 20. Late payment incurs surcharges and interest.
- Other requirements under law and ordinance go through a post-audit: after you get the permit, the establishment is subject to inspection by the relevant city offices.
- The Charter's one-hour total processing time does not apply during peak season, bulk transactions or system failure, and excludes time spent at other offices.
- You can also apply for a new business permit or renew online through the Dipolog City Online Services Portal (eservices.dipologcity.gov.ph).
